Track's Birthday Party...

We celebrated Track's first birthday at Canyon Creek Pool.  The weather was perfect, a little overcast which kept it fairly cool.  We split the pool with some of our dear friends, the Cholicks their daughter Anabelle turns two today.  I can see many more joint parties in our future.  T of course loves swimming and G could likely do without at this point.  Also, Graham was not feeling his best this morning - so my time was spent holding a big 2 year old and consoling his sweet heart as he asked me to "go home mama" every 15 minutes.  Sweet child - I really could not have spent my time better.

Track on the other hand swam with his grandparents and daddy and enjoyed his first raw chocolate tart.  Well, I say enjoyed...I think it shocked him.

Kelsey helped me pull together all of the food and decorations the night before and met me before the party to set it all up.  A special "Let's Hear it for Single Friends with No Kids (yet)".  May the days never end that you are able and so kind to help when I "need" you... love you and love your love for the boys.  Can you imagine, some people have to do parties by themselves?

Chicken Biscuits and Fruit Skewers

Cherry Limeade - thanks to Pioneer Woman and Jodi Maureen for my birthday cookbook.

Another year of Groupon Cupcakes.

Special thanks to my mom for bringing G some "George Books".

Shocking!

G and his "Nuncle Natt".

T was so tired when we got home I was able to take his trunks and swim diaper off, but he fell asleep on the changing table.  Every time I would take a picture he would open one eye and give me a half smile then fall back asleep.

All in all it was a great party and fairly easy.  I swore off parties at my house after Graham's 1st birthday.  WAY. TO. MUCH. WORK.  Amen anyone?

Sick & Tired...

I have Pneumonia and it has had me down and out for more than a week.  I am finally feeling like I can open my eyes and sit up semi straight.  I have spent the last week hot and cold (literally 102 temp for 6 days straight), coughing until I vomit, losing 7lbs, not sleeping more than 20 minutes at a time because of coughing and trying to explain to my 2 year old that I am STILL sick.

G keeps asking "mommy you feel better?" and "did you have a good nap?"... this one has a kind heart.

Wow - this is the longest I have been down for a long time.

Here are a few pictures from Mike's phone in my absence.
What a stinker.  This is a new face.

Trying on daddies "mowing" glasses.

Swinging in 1000 degree heat to give mom a little rest time.

I had to drive to the Doctor today and it was about all the energy I could come up with the push the gas pedal.  Pneumonia is a bad deal.
