Wakey Wakey little boyz...

This is what happens when you wake these two early...

Grouchy One...

and Grouchy Two.

Not Good.  These guys just need some warm up time.  They get this from me.  I walk around like a zombie for at least 15 minutes in the morning.

School should be fun.

Waiting for dad...

Nothing cutter than a nakey baby waiting, at the door, for daddy to arrive home from work.

Twins...

I was switching some pictures out in the house today and came across these.  It's like I have had the same cute baby twice.  Thank you Jesus.

Oh the funny things you say (Part I)...

Driving in the car on the way home from church...

G:  "maybe Jesus will come back in the clouds"
Me:  "maybe he will babe, maybe he will"
G:  "maybe Graham will come back in the clouds"
Me:  look at Mike, stumped as to what to say "well, maybe you will go up into the clouds....?"
Mike:  Chimes in with "maybe in the millennial kingdom, buddy?"

Ha.  This conversation has my sweet mother in law written all over it.

This conversation came either right before or right after he mentioned wanting poop pizza for lunch...NICE.

Best friend in hospital...

This weekend Jodi came to town, only to be admitted to the hospital for a night.  Which you would think would be terrible, but in reality I got to spend more alone time with her (without kids, husbands, family, etc...) than I have in a few years.  It was great

Here's a sneaky pic...
Here's Jo looking really sick, reading Southern Living, getting some IV fluids and texting.  She got sick from working out too hard...she is hard core if you don't know her.  Apparently, doing CrossFit can give you dinosaur arms and make you need lots of fluids...who knew?

This here is the person my son is named after (maiden name: Jodi Maureen Graham & G's middle name is Maureen - der) and when I am with her I remember why.  She is thoughtful, gracious and kind - but most importantly she truly loves ME for ME (and she really knows me and still love me, essentially she is like Jesus) and she is FUNNY (side note:  I think Jesus was likely funny too)...

A few hours in the hospital and everyone will get funny.  Jo and I took this pic and sent it to some of our best friends with texts like...

"uh, oh - she's taken a turn for the worse"
"i think Jodi is going downhill" and
"jodi is on the verge"

I got texts back that said...
"starting prayer meeting and candlelight vigil"
"i think her tongue looks longer" and
"that's a bad sign"

I am laughing as I type this...our friends are really funny.

Jodi was my first taste of true friendship after I became a believer.

Jodi - I love you...more than I can express in words.  You have taught me so much in 10 years.  You have pointed me back to Christ in many ways that don't involve words (my favorite way for the record).  You are a true encouragement to me.  Thank you for choosing me to love when I really thought I might be unlovable.  Love- T

Now if you have known me over the last few years you know nothing speaks to my heart more than a sweet baby, especially one born to any of my friends.

This is the list I pray for every day.

Lord please bring these children to know you...G, T, B, E, E, A, S, S, W, B

Let me introduce you to my W.

Whitten Hayes Harper
Isn't he the cutest thing you have EVER seen.
Buddy, I am praying you to the finish line.  I love you.

Matchy Mommy...

Big Boy - You have been staying awake in your bed until 10 or 11 every night.  When I go in to ask you why you aren't sleeping the answer is usually something along the lines of..."I just wanted to see mommy one more time".  COME ON!  I USUALLY can't wait for you to wake up for another day of fun - you are a sweet child.

Check out our matching pimples.  Sorry about that son - you might look like dad, but you got my amazing skin.

Track, your silly...

Track is a risk taker.  I looked all over the house for this baby and then Graham told me to check under his bed...AMAZING.

Don't worry when he spoted me he crawled right out.

He is just fine.

In fact, he is so fine he pulled this technique while eating yogart later that night.
What a mess!

Oh my soul...

This child was SO TIRED he fell asleep on the changing table as I was getting him a new diaper.  His head isn't even on the changing pad.  ADORABLE.  This might be a good one for a rehearsal dinner slide show.

Happy Fathers Day...

Homemade Card - Check!

PROUD Toddler to show dad the card he "made".

These boys have a dad who LOVES to be with them.  Mike's specialties as a dad include...tickle monsters, airplane, fast rides in the car, distractions, night time stories, body slams, sleeper holds, feeding T, wii sports, teething biscuits and much more.

Mike-

Thanks for being an easy dad to please on Father's Day.  We love you and I am so thankful for your influence on these tiny men.

I love you!

Grandmom...

Wondering what that note says...

Track is showing you how old he thinks grandmom is, while he struggles to breathe in G's strangle hold.

The moment went like this..."G, hold it down so I can see your eyes".  "Twack wants you MOM".  "I know baby, just hold onto him".  Love that he calls me "Mom" these days.

Anywho...Happy Birthday Grandmom...WE LOVE YOU.  See you tonight when we tear up your house, smear food on the floor, and run you ragged all in an attempt to with YOU a Happy Birthday.

Love - Track & Graham

Carl...

This thing is living in our garage.  I know it's one of God's creatures, but he freaks me out and I think he's gross.  We call him Carl and literally as soon as you open the garage door he scurries about.  I have a quiet fear that he is going to scuttle up my leg and into my shorts every time I am in there.

So Carl, I am sure you are rare and exotic...you kind of look like a horned frog lizard thing, but could you find somewhere else to live?  Craig down the street is nice and his garage is way nicer than ours.  Thank you in advance.

Buddies...

This past Friday we were surprising my in laws with a 25th anniversary celebration, so I had some "getting ready" to do.  The boys both woke up and I needed just a little more time (such is the story of my life).  So as a tribute to Anabelle Cholick I setup Elmo's World on my phone and dolled out the snacks, while I ironed my clothes.  Obviously, I didn't get much ironing done because I couldn't get over these two sitting shoulder to shoulder sharing some puffs.

They look so much alike in these pictures.  It is also dumbfounding that something(s) so great came from me (well from God, but out of my body)...not self-deprecation here...just really in awe.

Love you guys.  Yall are going to read this some day and think..."geez, mom we were just eating a snack together - get a grip"...ha, if I'm being honest - I will likely not get a grip - I'm not even trying.

They're Back...

The super secret teething biscuits are back!  It's a super secret recipe because everyone asks me for it and I have actually NEVER made them.  Honestly, asking Chef Mike about them is a little "touch and go"...they usually take him approximately 3 hours and depending on the batch the boys have either loved them or wanted nothing to do with his time involved creation.  Whoopsies.

Still extremely messy, but not processed!

Creations al la Michael.

Honey - please do a guest blog post and share your experience making these fine biscuits.

Just for kicks, here is G when he first fell for the teething biscuit.  Graham is 11 months in these pics and well Track is only 9 months, but they are brothers for sure.
